Hillier does a great job really reaching down into the depths of her characters to reveal very real insecurities and motivations.
You Are Not Alone by Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen, 5 Stars
I'd recommend You Are Not Alone to just about anyone. It's Emily Giffin meets Gillian Flynn, there's a little someone for everyone.
The Other Mrs. by Mary Kubica, 4 Stars
The Other Mrs. is getting all kinds of kudos from a bunch of my other favorite authors.
The Other People, CJ Tudor, 4 Stars
There's a type of dreamy, mysterious aura in a CJ Tudor book. It's a great feeling to wrap yourself in like a warm blanket as you read her books.
Good Girls Lie by J.T. Ellison, 3.5 Stars
Ellison spins a great tale full of the mystery and dark past of a girl's private school and creates multi-dimensional characters who are hiding things from each other and the reader.
The Better Liar by Tanen Jones, 3 Stars
Leslie is a complicated character from the first page. There's just a huge disconnect between who she appears to be and who she really is.
Reputation by Sara Shepard, 4 Stars
Shepard brings the same type of dark intrigue, mystery and deception to Reputation as she did to her famous Pretty Little Liars series.
The Nanny by Gilly McMillan, 3.5 Stars
In The Nanny, we meet The Holt Family. They are the richest, most important family in a small town, or at least they were in the 1980's.
The Whisper Network by Chandler Baker, 3.5 Stars
Chandler has nailed the atmosphere of many offices these days.
